Adopt-A-Family PROGRAM
ABOUT THE PROGRAM – Adopt-A-Family, coordinated by the Children’s Medical Center social work department, is a holiday gift program that directly benefits the hospital’s patients and their families. Every family in the Adopt-A-Family program has a child being treated at Children’s for a chronic, critical, or terminal illness. Without your help, these families would not be able to provide holiday gifts for their children. Last year, the program helped approximately 200 needy Children’s patients and their families and are hoping to help even more this year.
HOW IT WORKS – Any individual, family, classroom, Boy/Girl Scout troop, office, etc. can adopt a family. Once you sign up, you will be given your adopted family’s gift wish list from which to do your shopping, or if you prefer, you can give gift cards so that the family members can do their own holiday shopping. All gifts must be dropped off at a designated location on Friday, December 16, 2011.
